As many of you know we are a two-man operation with day jobs, families, and kid activities that will always come first and foremost. After a conference call last night, we have decided to slow down content production through the end of 2022. This does not mean we are going away. In fact, we’ll be providing PrizePicks today and throughout December. Where there will be a void is in full blown DFS writeups. Final Four Saturday
It's been a wild and turbulent season, but we're finally here!! This year's Final Four features the two best teams in college basketball all season, and the potential for a championship matchup game that we were promised back in December and didn't get due to Covid. We've also got an under the radar Houston team that is a defensive juggernaut but hasn't played a single digit seed yet this tournament. Finally, we've got the blue blood turned Cinderella in #11 UCLA. Regardless of the outcome, we've got you fully covered from a DFS standpoint! The main event on DraftKings is the $80k Penultimate Pullup ($20k to 1st). There are a couple nice showdowns to consider as well. We're digging deep today
Final Four Finalized Tonight
We are down to the final two Elite 8 games that will determine our Final Four match-ups next weekend. DK is offering another $20K to 1st place in this four-team, two game tourney. The first match-up puts Gonzaga versus USC as the Zags look to continue the dream season. The nightcap has UCLA (the last remaining cinderella) taking on Michigan, the sole survivor from the B1G. Like yesterday both games will be featured in showdowns as well, so let's get to it! Gonzaga -8.5, (153) - 6:15USC v. GonzagaUSC’s #1 2-point FG% defense will face off against the Zags #1 2-point FG% offense per kenpom. Despite USCs top 5 overall defense, Vegas expects a lot of points in this one
Elite 8 Monday
And then there were 8... After an exciting Saturday and Sunday the 16 teams have been cut in half, and after tonight and tomorrow we will know our Final Four. DraftKings is giving us a 2-game main slate each day with showdowns available for each contest. Another $20,000 will be awarded to 1st place on the main slate and it looks like the Showdown's will pay $1,000 to first on each. I don't know about you, but $22,000 seems like a nice way to start the week! As for tonight's games it starts with Houston and Oregon State at 6:15 and wraps up with Arkansas vs Baylor. Sweet 16 Saturday
Hard to believe, but we only have 15 games left in the NCAA tournament. If the first weekend of the tournament was an indication, we've got a lot more fun ahead of us. It starts on Saturday with a 1:40 pm CST tip with Loyola-Chicago taking on Pac-12 darling Oregon St. Nova/Baylor tip off right before dinner, while Oral Roberts/Arkansas and Syracuse/Houston finish out the evening. We've got a great mix of national powerhouses, mid-major threats, and Cinderella stories, making for compelling television that is truly unmatched compared to any other sporting event out there. March Madness is the absolute goods and we are so thankful to enjoy the heat with our Bucketheads throughout the year.
NIT Thursday
We've got a quick NIT appetizer to hold us over until the main course starts back up again on Saturday. Looking ahead, we'll plan to have content for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games.
