Note to Bucketheads

Bucketheads,

Reaching out to our faithful followers today to provide an update on the December month for @CBB_DFS. As many of you know we are a two-man operation with day jobs, families, and kid activities that will always come first and foremost. After a conference call last night, we have decided to slow down content production through the end of 2022.

This does not mean we are going away. In fact, we’ll be providing PrizePicks today and throughout December. Where there will be a void is in full blown DFS writeups. These take 3-4 hours a day for tournaments that are only paying $2,000-$3,000 for first. This is where the juice doesn’t merit the squeeze – a phrase we have used quite a bit of late.

Tonight 1,411 people will compete for a $3,000 first prize on a slate that features 12 games and 24 teams. If you are fortunate enough to finish 9th or 10th in the tournament (top 0.007%) you’ll win 5x your entry fee. Whereas if you hit on just three prize picks, competing with Bucketheads instead of against them, you win 5x your entry. See the Daily Fantasy conundrum?

Juice < Squeeze.

We were founded with a DFS first mindset. We’ll still be playing DFS and after this soft break we’ll reassess how to approach the conference season that begins in January. Until then you can still bet that if there is a large prize pool tournament, we are going to write it up. You may also see AMAs (Ask Me Anything) hosted on Twitter or perhaps we’ll drop the occasional podcast.

We’ll still be around, but will take some time to determine our next steps. We welcome feedback from the community. We can be reached through Twitter DMs and by email at [email protected]

Now, lets get to the PrizePicks for today. Best of luck today and moving forward Bucketheads!!

PrizePicks

We have our PricePicks listed below for your consumption! If you are new to the game, don’t forget to use promo code CBBDFS for 100% deposit bonus. It helps us out a ton for notoriety and is a nice way to send some love!

If you already have PrizePicks there is also a donate option at the end of this thread. This is also another good way to show us some love for the free content! #antipaywall #keepcbbdfsfree

Kyle Lofton

OVER 17.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

Lofton has hit this number in his last two matchups and gets a much easier opponent tonight in Florida A&M who is ranked 304th defensively per KenPom. He’s an elite talent that should get his before being pulled due to a blow out.

– Joe

Daniel Batcho

OVER 25.9 Fantasy Score

Over this number in 4 straight (33, 28, 42, 32) and miles over this number in 3 of those 4 . Georgetown is really bad defensively and wants to pace up the game. Plenty of opportunity for Batcho to go wacko.

– Byrd

BUCKETHEAD BONUS

Justice Seuing

OVER 23.1 Fantasy Score

Seuing has 31% usage and a 33% shot rate so far this year, but we are taking fantasy score because he has twice as many steals then turnovers in his last four. In this marquee matchup versus Duke Seuing goes OVER.
